Design philosophy applied by Louis Breguet Co to improve landing and takeoff speeds; wing of experimental aircraft Br 940 is equipped along its trailing edge with multiple flaps having very steep deflections and exposed to permanent slip-stream of four large propellers placed in front of leading edge; arrangement strongly deflects slipstream downwards and increases lift; as result, landing speed is reduced and speed range improved; aerodynamic problems and tests.
