Theory of radial thrust is developed geometrically, where primary tool is plot of square of eccentricity vs radial distance; special case of constant radial thrust acceleration is treated; example of Martian capture maneuver where initial portion has constant radial thrust acceleration, and in terminal portion thrust acceleration varies to maintain constant radial speed; characteristic velocity and other parameters are computed.
