Survey of maintenance work carried out by fleet operators shows that bus bodywork requiring no major overhaul in life of vehicle is indicated by present trends; corrosion is biggest problem from deterioration viewpoint, but accident repairs tend to absorb much of body repairer's time; ease of cleaning, inside vehicle as well as outside, and reduced repainting requirements are other aims for future.
