Numerous experiments conducted with earth satellites require initiation of subsystem operations as function of geographical position of satellite; technique presented is capable of determining latitude to accuracy of order of one degree, and longitude to accuracy of order of 2 degrees, using current state of art stabilization systems; satellite subsystem operations may be controlled to this accuracy without recourse to any post launch ground control or timing mechanisms.
