Theory of rocket bomb may be said to involve only two stages, transformation of energy of rocket charge into kinetic energy, or energy of gas velocity, and transformation of gas velocity into propulsive effort on bomb; each stage is subject to its own separate efficiency, i.e., thermal and propulsive efficiency, and total efficiency is product of two efficiencies.
