Description of design changes of AEC railcars described in Engineering Index 1940, as applied to new twin coupled set; each car is driven by AEC 6-cyl direct injection engine, 105 hp at 1650 rpm; each transmission incorporates Vulcan-Sinclair fluid flywheel, 5-speed epicylic gearbox and bevel type final drive; results of trial tests given.
