Two huge hydraulic presses now in production at Douglas Aircraft Co's blackout plant in Long Beach, Calif, each of 2500-ton capacity, have six electrically operated loading tables, and are said to be fastest and most efficient units of their kind ever built; they employ Guerin process for forming aircraft parts by means of metal male dies and universal female die of rubber.
