Ingenious fixtures devised for control machining on production basis of many welded assemblies and forgings of 105-mm combination anti-aircraft and antisubmarine gun for merchant ships, now being made at one of Naval Ordnance Contracting plants; as result, standard machine tools, like millers, have been relieved of much heavy stock removal work and their overall usefulness, thereby increased on work for which they are best adapted.
