Study of visitors to large department store of `Vroom and Dressmann', in central area of Utrecht, Netherlands; town has over 260,000 inhabitants; sampling fraction varied from 9 to 23% per entrance and from 8 to 21% per hour; over 11.5% of all visitors were interviewed; based on busiest two-hour period, 2:00 to 4:00 P.M., and taking into account primary destination (reduction) factor of 0.625 and suppressed 13.5% parking demand (as revealed by survey), store's parking demand on normal working day was estimated at one parking space for every 45 to 60 sq yd net sales area.
