February 1967 PSAC report, Space Program in Post-Apollo Period, is used as basis for estimates of propulsion and auxiliary power developments likely to be initiated during next decade; lunar exploration, space science and applications in orbit (including manned space stations), and planetary exploration are examined; it is concluded that in addition to identified developments, careful thought should be given to new booster intermediate between Saturn-IB and Saturn-V and to nuclear electric systems for 1980s.
