Background and development of Hawker Siddeley Harrier which is readily distinguished from its predecessors by number of external changes; notable among these are revised wing, hump-backed fuselage and dorsal fin; completely redesigned nosewheel steering system is much more powerful than that of Kestrel; it provides greater precision and better controllability over much greater steering angle by virtue of its "floating-vernier" type of input gearing; leading data and cutaway drawing are included.
