Effect of flying speed on flight noise of airliners, and effect of noise duration on subjective intensity rating; noise during take-off climb is investigated; relation between aircraft noise under static and in-flight conditions is established on basis of generalization of noise characteristics of Soviet airliners; estimate is given for influence of noise duration on subjective rating of its intensity; relations presented are suitable for other types of jet airliners and, to first approximation, for turboprop aircraft.
