Estimates of key airframe parameters, obtained from in-flight parameter identification, are used to adjust flight control system parameters to meet performance objective; by combining equations-of-motion approach with analog steepest descent, practical parameter identification scheme is obtained which accounts for all inputs to aircraft, and yet is simply mechanized by analog hardware.
