Diesel electric traction sets built by English Electric Co, are operating in country districts covered by Western Australian Government Railways, also for Australian Iron and Steel Co at Port Kemble Steelworks; there are six 3-coach Diesel electric trains in service; each consists of one combined power and luggage coach and two trailers, seating accommodation for 128 passengers; in steelworks there are eight 800 bhp heavy duty units.
