It is shown that considerations with which steady value of velocity of detonation is chosen are not convincing; in problem of process of chemical reaction in detonation wave, objections raised against conceptions of Le Chatelier and Vieille with regard to ignition of gas by shock wave are refuted. English translation from Zhurnal Experimentalnoi i Teoreticheskoi Fiziki, T 10, 1940.
