Sequence of discharges in dielectrics was shown in Ref L/ T210 to depend on surface distribution of charge originating from preceding discharges; spread of discharges, previously attributed to transverse leakage of residual charge, is now explained by difference in distribution of residual charges which remain on positive and negative surfaces of void after discharge.
