Batch of freight cars claiming to be lightest of their capacity and to make greater use of aluminum than hitherto, have been built at Angus Shop of Canadian Pacific Railway; cars have aluminum body and underframe, weigh 34,400 lb, are 50 ft 6 in. long, 9 ft 2 in. wide and 10 ft 6 in. high; carrying capacity is 134,600 lb; structural members are of aluminum alloy Alcan 65S-T.
