Notes on delta wing aircraft's characteristics compiled by chief aerodynamicist of Britain's A.V.Roe and Co which has put three delta wing craft into air, 707, 707B and 707A; how delta wing helps in aerodynamic problems of high speed flight; it meets four features necessary for avoiding drag rise near speed of sound, it is highly sweptback, can be made very thin, wing loading is low, and aspect ratio is low.
