Experience has established superiority of wheel over caterpillar traction; future automobile for Sahara will probably be of two types: (1) light 4-wheel vehicle for rapid transit, and (2) heavy 6-wheel vehicle for slow trips with considerably greater loads; in author's opinion, the camel will remain most economical means of transport, both for passengers and for merchandise; automobiles will be used only for speedy traveling and for short-time deliveries.
