Small perturbation analysis on stability of conservation of mass in solid-propellant combustor is made for LF regime; to avoid unwieldy model, dynamics of concentrated combustion zone are represented parametrically in terms of magnitude and phase of combustion oscillations relative to pressure oscillations; resulting model is susceptible to easy interpretation in terms of trends among oscillation variables, combustor variables, and propellant combustion characteristics; experimental data obtained are presented.
