Investigations into frequency of overtakings, stability of timetable and occupation of line permit conclusions concerning influence of changes in speed; survey to find general criteria for influence of speed, and to formulate certain methods of calculation for reliable assessment of complex operating conditions; formulas developed and quoted for numerical calculations, results of which are compared.
