Tugboat Allied-Ashland built for Ashland Oil and Refining Co by Ingalls Shipbuilding Corp; eight barge integrated tow will enable ship to move full cargo of 200,000 bbl of crude oil at still water speed of nine mph; propulsion is by three 16-cyl General Motors' engines developing 1600 hp each at 750 rpm; length 150 ft, beam 50 ft, and depth of hold 10 1/2 ft.
