Moment distribution (or Hardy Cross) method of analysis is applied to certain sections, particularly with reference to strut, stiffening, staggered wing and center tank bulkheads, as relevant to design of oil carrying vessels; attention called to faults in assumption that ship members may be considered to have fixed ends and may be based on arbitrary length.
