Report on investigation being conducted at Central Research Laboratory, American Association of Railroads, to determine relative static and fatigue strength of bolted timber joints and bolted timber grid joints as ordinarily used to fasten sway bracing to piles or caps in timber pile trestle construction; tests have been completed only on specimens fabricated from Douglas fir.
