Bulk oil carrier of 71,018 tons dw was built by J.Brown of Clydebank for BP Tanker Co; cargo spaces are subdivided into 12 center and 24 wing tanks with capacity of 3, 020,474 cu ft; vessel length oa is 815 ft, breadth molded 112 ft 6 in., depth molded 58 ft, maximum draft 44 ft 1 3/8 in.; propulsion unit is first installation to be completed to Pametrada standard frame design; developed from Pametrada Prototype 1 unit, and was manufactured by shipbuilders; output is 20,000 shp, giving laden service speed of 15 1/2 knots.
