Experimental project carried out in Toronto, Canada metropolitan area to demonstrate that electronic computer could be connected into existing traffic signal network to provide flexible, reliable, and powerful coordinated signal system free of most of limitations of existing traffic signal control equipment; suggestions for wider application of computer control.
