On-board digital command equipment enables target vehicle to cooperate for rendezvous with Gemini manned spacecraft; UHF FM receiver output (message, message complement, synchronizing signal) is provided (at 1000 bits/sec) only upon receipt of signal from ground; programmer decodes messages, acknowledges and processes only valid target-vehicle commands, actuates or stores them per instruction in messages, generates precise time base, reads out vehicle time; controller uses programmer pulse output to control electronic switches, contains special-purpose automatic sequences; target vehicle docking-sequence is controlled by astronauts via radar link.
