Wheel hop, in which tire may lose contact with ground during part of cycle, is nonlinear motion; paper describes method of simulation and compares analog with results of measurements of wheel hop on modified vehicle; road profile, vehicle parameters and instrumentation; vehicle tests carried out and simulation; results obtained indicate that simulation defines problem reasonably.
