SAE-G-5 Aerospace Shock and Vibration Committee was formed to establish stepwise procedure for design of linear, center-of-gravity type vibration isolation systems whose function is to protect fragile equipment, installed on aircraft, missiles or spacecraft, from sinusoidal and random vibrational environments encountered; publication presents philosophy and approach applied, general concepts, concept of vibration source, fragility, outline of theoretical background, and practical application.
