Progress made in powder metallurgy; 100% inspection of all attributes of component is not possible; however, realistic and reasonably thorough inspection is possible through use of statistical methods; it is shown that statistical quality control enables powder metallurgy parts users in automotive industry to assure reliability and predictability.
