Vessel is for moving trawlers for servicing after crew has gone ashore, which has been made hazardous for small steam tugs, formerly used, by increasing size of fishing vessels; Aurora was built by Richard Dunston (Hessle) for Hull Steam Trawlers Mutual Insurance and Protecting Co; craft has bridge, funnel and mast amidships and clear decks fore and aft with heavy rubber belting all around; Mirrlees-National engine of 350 bhp at 570 rpm is fitted.
