Constructed by Vulcan Works, Hamburg and Stettin, for German, Australian and Cosmos lines; first vessel, with exception of smaller motorship, to be equipped with Vulcan reversible hydromechanical gearing; it has two eight-cylinder, four-stroke Diesel engines which, by means of interposition of hydromechanical gearing, drive single propeller.
