Laboratory and field evaluations of fences designed to prevent headlamp dazzle and installed on central reservations at few selected sites in Great Britain are described together with results of tests to determine effectiveness of safety curbs; tests on concrete guard rail show that corresponding critical velocity perpendicular to rail is about 10 mph, end point being rolling action toward rail imparted to car upon impact.
