Systematic research on majority of shipbuilding materials has already been carried out by author in German Admiralty torpedo laboratory at Kiel; his investigations show metals, in suitable dust form, are quite inflammable; values are tabulated for metals, woods, and various kinds of insulating and furnishing materials. (see also brief translated abstract in Mar. Engr. and Motorship Bldr., vol. 54, no. 642, Mar. 1931, p. 116)
