Conditions underlying development of airship for long-distance transportation are discussed; meteorological problems and observations; hangar problem; starting and landing difficulties and how they can be overcome; author states that first requisite is construction shed, which with operating costs would require capital expenditure of 6,000,000 Marks ($1,500,000), and would require government subsidy; with this condition fulfilled, he predicts regular and safe transoceanic airship service within few years.
