Series F 12-cylinder Veetype engines all of same general design but fitted with two different airscrew gear ratios, and two compression ratios; lower compression engines develop normal output of 490 hp. at sea level; those with higher ratio may not be opened out to more than 480 b.hp. at sea level but may be given full throttle at 3000 ft. where they will develop same output; cylinders in blocks of six.
