Automotive engineering and its relation to aeronautics are discussed; many parallels which exist in automobile and airplane production from drawing board to finished product traced; motor-car industry has benefited in very direct way from engineering of aviation engines; boats use aviation engines; development of pyroxylin as exterior finish. Abstract of paper presented before Int. Civil Aeronautics Conference.
