Tests were made of 15 designs of traffic barriers for use in highway medians to develop efficient barriers for use in freeway construction; new barrier design was developed and several installations are now on California highways; report presents technical findings of collisions with different classes of highway traffic barriers, rigid, semi-rigid, and flexible; procedures and data reduction methods employed.
