Sea Level, owned by West India Fruit and Steamship Co and operated by Sea Level Atlantic Ocracoke Ferry Co was built by Wiley Manufacturing Co; designed for both shallow water operations and good stability and speed in rough deep water, new all-welded steel boat is tunnel stern type; length 130 ft 8 in., breadth 38 ft, depth 9 ft 8 in., draft 5 ft; 19 automobiles and 225 passengers can be carried; two 450-hp Caterpillar diesel engines provide power.
