Experimental wave drags of bodies and wing-body combinations are compared with computed drags using 24-term Fourier series application of area rule and with results of equivalent body tests; results indicate that equivalent body technique provides good method for perdicting wave drag of certain wing-body combinations at and below 1 Mach; rapid method of computing wing area distributions and area-distribution slopes.
