Principles of both fully wetted and supercavitating flow theory are utilized to design thick hydrofoil with acceptable hydrodynamic efficiency in 100-knot speed range; results of investigation show maximum lift-drag ratios in 80 to 100-knot speed range equal to or greater than those obtained on thin supercavitating hydrofoils.
