Rocket employs accelerate-decelerate principle and consists of ion-emitting, accelerating, and decelerating-neutralizing grids; details of resulting ion beam and electron-ion-beam flows; mixed ion-electron beam is found to have small wavelength, small amplitude periodic wave structure; forces on individual grids and overall thrust of rocket are determined.
