Aug pt 3 p 293-308: Some elementary concepts of static deformation; by consideration of series of simple models, static aeroelasticity of conventional aircraft is extended to integrated configuration combining fuselage, wing and tail; on basis of linear aerodynamics, maximum speed exists at which control is possible; overall deformations and control forces become large at speeds approaching critical condition. Nov pt 4 p 372-94: Calculations are applied to flexible plates (delta, gothic and ogee) to estimate their static aeroelastic behavior; assuming linear aerodynamics, general tendencies of Part I are particularized; it is shown that in general 2 positions of equilibrium are apparently possible at each speed; stability of models is not considered.
