Study made of rocking on curved fuselage under surface, following impact of tail or nose, to convert vertical energy in landing into energy of pitching oscillation in which wing lift changes and aerodynamic damping are important; computations of load and motions for given shapes and load applications for selected aircraft; analysis and experiment indicate that loads and moments are acceptable.
