Study is made of L.Lee's rule for hypersonic laminar boundary layer; it is shown that this rule is exact under assumptions invoked in inviscid theory of hypersonic flow; modified local flat plate similarity scheme derived, involving separate rules for velocity and enthalpy profiles, is compared with exact solutions and theory of hypersonic leading edge interaction.
