Measurements made for 5 sting configurations, including that of effectively removing sting for angles of attack from -- 2 to +20°, at constant Re of 1.4 million; results indicate that there is no feasible sting diameter for which interference on base pressures would be negligible; pertinence to atmosphere re-entry vehicles.
