In theoretical and experimental study it is assumed that waves are perpendicular to vessel's centerline, thus ship is in either ahead, following or overtaking sea; small and large angle cases are treated separately; it is shown that stability in each case differs appreciably from that of same ship in calm water and, in certain cases, may be reduced drastically.
