Latecoere 521 is sesquiplane with central hull and two stub wings like Latecoere 300, known as " Croixdu-Sud" and is fitted with six Hispano-Suiza type 12 Ybrs water cooled 890-hp engines; it is all metal design, and duralumin and vedal account for 10 tons of total empty weight which is 17 tons.
