In engineering design, people are more and more interested in analyzing and optimizing systems of components and not only single components. We implement a multidisciplinary design optimization framework to analyze the DLR SpaceLiner design concept involving different engineering disciplines. Moreover, we present a comparison of different optimization tools regarding their ability to find a multidisciplinary feasible solution.
