Abstract A literature survey of thermodiffusion experiments in liquid metal shows the difficulty to get reliable and accurate measurements in 1 g conditions. In comparison some microgravity experiments in this field are analyzed. Our preliminary results of thermodiffusion from D1 mission are presented : migration of Sn112 in natural Sn and of Ag in Sn.
